Today was a gorgeous day and I was in an excellent mood so I went down to the beach where they have fitness installations. Thanks to this post by Luc Carl, I wanted to see how many pull ups I could do and I knew there was a pull up bar on the beach. Unfortunately, the bar was missing, but I did do 45 tricep dips and ten push ups as well as three sets of 20 leg lifts (they get easier by the day!). I also went for a run/walk along the beach which absolutely killed my calves when I walked in the sand!
When I got home, I still felt like going for a proper run, so I took a jog to a different neighbourhood where I came across a beautiful duck pond in the middle of a bunch of rich people’s houses. I found this railing and did two sets of 10 horizontal pull ups:

Then on my cool down walk home, I was thinking about how much I miss pole dancing and remembered that often kids parks jungle gyms have a pole and then right then I happened upon one but the pole was too short, so instead I did two sets of ten hanging sit ups where I hooked my lower legs in the over hanging bars and hung down, crossed my arms over my chest then did a normal sit up. I didnt realise I was so strong! If I hadnt already done some push ups, I would have used the low yellow bar as a place to do angled push ups and tricep dips too.

Kids jungle gyms are a great place to work out! Looking at that picture, there is a pole to practice pole tricks, an upper horizontal bar for pull ups and hanging sit ups and a lower bar for push ups and tricep dips and if you can fit under it, horizontal pull ups.
So, dont waste money on a gym where you have to listen to silly men grunting, get outside, hit that pavement and then use your nearest kids play park to work out!
